Towards the end of the evening, the sun finally came out and the light was magical – so I headed outside and took a few final group and couple photos.Ĭongratulations to Shannon and Dru, and warm thanks to you and your friends and family for making it such a fun event for me to photograph.Ann E. I generally ask for “one cute photo, then one goofy one” – the goofy ones are always awesome! I set up the photobooth for part of the reception, and it was a huge success, as usual. The reception music was perfect – of course, since Dru is himself a musician – there was a quartet from the Parkland Youth Symphony playing gorgeous jazz throughout the evening. Although it was very tough photographing all those lovely cakes without reaching in for a little taste! They had all kinds of yummy flavors … raspberry, vanilla, lemon, chocolate … Shannon and Dru chose to have individual cakes for each table, which was such an awesome idea. I wasn’t able to take photos during the main ceremony, but I had plenty of time before and after to take photos of guests arriving and going through the receiving line.Īfter a few receiving line photos, I headed off to the Center for Urban Horticulture (CUH). The girls were a lot of fun to photograph – despite having the paparazzi on them most of the day! On a side note, how cool are the guys’ suits? I love that Dru mixed it up and went for something completely different for him and his guys.ĭru’s mom and dad, on the other hand, seemed to quite like the camera! Last Saturday, I had the pleasure of photographing Shannon and Dru’s wedding at Queen Anne Lutheran Church and the Center for Urban Horticulture at the University of Washington.Įveryone was getting ready at the church, which meant I was able to use the sanctuary for many of the detail shots – and how could I not take advantage of such a beautiful church? I especially love the modern stained glass windows.ĭru is a self-confessed camera-hater, so my mission for the day was to make the formals as informal and fun as possible.
