French toast burn5/27/2023 The French toast with berries and honey is really delicious, if you want to exaggerate you can also add a little vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Or enrich the French toast as I did, with mixed berries and pistachios. Put 2-3 slices of Pain perdu in each dish: at this point you can simply enjoy it in the traditional way, sprinkling it with icing sugar, or add honey, maple or agave syrup. If the heat is high, the French toast will burn on the outside while coming out undercooked (and therefore unsafe to eat) on the inside. When the bread is golden on both sides, set it aside keeping it warm and proceed in the same way with the remaining 4 slices. Place prepared French Toast in oven for 10 minutes to finish cooking. Repeat the process, adding butter in between each batch of french toast. Remove from skillet and place browned French Toast on baking sheet. Flip and cook for 2-3 minutes on the opposite side. It is important that the fire is very low because otherwise the sugar they are soaked in could burn and give the French Toast a bitter aftertaste. Place French Toast in a skillet and pan-fry until browned, about 3 minutes. ![]() Put the slices of bread in a pan and cook over low heat for a few minutes, turning them to brown them evenly. When the butter will be melted, dip the first 4 slices of bread in the egg mixture, turning them a couple of times so that they are soaked but not so much as to get rid of. Put a piece of butter in a pan (15-20 grams) and let it melt over low heat. First you have to prepare a mixture by beating the 4 eggs with whole milk, granulated or cane sugar, a pinch of salt and a little ground cinnamon if you like. The recipe for Pain perdu or French toast is really very simple to prepare, as you see in video step by step recipe.
